Ticket Costs

All persons traveling on the ferry require travel tickets. However, the cost of travel vary based on the following:

  • Age of passenger
  • Whether a vehicle is being transported
  • Type of ferry used – fast ferry / conventional
The following table provides a summary of the ticketing costs:

Infants and Senior Citizens

At the Inter-island ferry service children under the age of three travel free and so do persons 60 and over.

Although, infants under the age of three, are not required to pay for their tickets they must however obtain a ticket for travel bearing their names as well as time and date of travel.

Senior Citizens (60 years and over) are required to present their National ID or Passport in order to obtain their travel tickets.

SENIOR CITIZENS wishing to take their cars with them are however required to pay the cost of transporting the car, ONLY.

Note: A senior citizen is any person who has attained the age of 60 years and over. Senior citizen tickets will only apply to nationals of Trinidad and Tobago.

Vehicles
The following rates apply to vehicles registered as private (P) , rentals ( R ) and hire (H). These vehicles are considered private non-commercial vehicles and will attract the following rates:

  • One-way: $150.00
  • Return: $250.00

Note: A vehicle ticket cannot be purchased alone. It must include a passenger’s name on the ticket. Hence the cost for the passenger must be added to the vehice ticket.

A vehicle ticket can only be sold to an adult with a driver’s permit.
